Top-Notch Plant Care on Long Island, NY

Watering plays an important role in maintaining the overall health of your plants. Keep a close check on your plants and sprinkler systems. If you see wilting, water your plants to maintain their health.

Fertilizing is another essential aspect of plant maintenance. When fertilizing plants, use a 5-10-5 fertilizer on perennials and annuals. For broadleaf evergreens, it's good to use slightly acidic fertilizers such as Hollytone.

Mulching can be extremely beneficial when it comes to your soil and plants. It helps control weed growth and maintain soil moisture levels as well as adds nutrients to the soil. Don't add mulch to groundcovers such as Vinca (Myrtle) or Pachysandra. Some mulch can cause the yellowing of groundcovers, taking away from their beauty. Call today to get started.
